Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging
At IEHP, you are part of a huge, diverse community with a whole lot of heart. You can show up as yourself and be appreciated for who you are.
And because we celebrate the varied backgrounds, cultures and traditions of our Team Members, you will benefit from a global perspective of inclusion and belonging.

Our DEIB Philosophy
The work you will do at IEHP affects those in our community who are most vulnerable, who have the greatest disparities, who are furthest from equity and face more obstacles.
As an IEHP Team Member, your highest calling will be to create a better quality of life for our Members, our Providers and our community.
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
Participate in several of our employee led resource groups. Supported by our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Executive Task Force, these employee resource groups include:
- Asian American & Pacific Islander
- Disability Inclusion
- E.B.O.N.E. (Empowering Black Opportunity, Networking and Excellence)
- Hispanic Heritage
- LGBTQ+ Pride
- Military Appreciation
- Mind Health & Wellness

Employee Events and
Community Outreach
Because many of our events at IEHP are spearheaded by our DEIB Employee Resource Groups, you can not only participate in them as a fellow Team Member, but you also have the power to help organize or even spearhead one of your own.
Our more popular events include the AAPI fashion show, Mental Health Awareness scavenger hunt, Juneteenth celebration, and LGBTQ+ drag queen bingo.
Our events also create space around wellness:
- Physical wellness, like our Zumba workout in our state-of-the-art gym or our occasional farmers’ market.
- Mental wellness, like our painting, meditation, and woodworking classes.
- Emotional wellness, like the mini concerts we hold on campus – often performed by our very own talented Team Members.
We also lend our facilities to outside organizations and host community-based events, like our Community Partner Meetings. During the pandemic, we turned our campus into a vaccination site and successfully vaccinated over 38,000 residents.
