Position Summary/Position

 

This position exists to promote the development and adoption of clinical systems, including care management platforms and/or clinical registries, that are utilized by IEHP and its network and community partners. Ensures the connection between program requirements and clinical systems to ensure regulatory requirements and clinical workflows are comprehensively and efficiently supported by the clinical systems.  
To accomplish the above, this position partners with Business stakeholders to guide the identification and development of business requirements and then translates these business requirements to technical stakeholders.
This position provides support to the clinical systems, serves as a co-lead clinical systems trainer for end users at IEHP and in the network and community. Work with clinical systems including electronic health records, care management tools, and clinical registries Data management practices.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

 

1. Business Systems  administration: 
  a. Lead the development of business requirements for clinical systems that are used to support clinical transformation initiatives.
  b. Partner with Business stakeholders and clinical subject matter experts to identify, define, and prioritize business requirements for clinical systems 
  c. Translate business requirements for technical audiences including Information Technology and Health Care Informatics departments.
  d. Liaison with Information Technology and Health Care Informatics departments during the development, configuration, and maintenance of clinical systems.
  e. Resource for regulatory requirements, Health Homes Programs and/or other Health programs needed.
2. Project Management:
  a. Develop agendas and facilitate clinical systems strategy meetings with diverse high-level, multi-disciplinary attendees.
3. Training:
  a. Co-own the clinical systems end user communication and training plan.
  b. Co-lead clinical systems trainings for end users in-person and via webinar.
  c. develop written training materials, including job aids and user manuals.

Experience Qualifications

 

Must have three (3) years of experience (equal weight clinical and technical). Partnering with or working directly in a clinic or healthcare setting where services are provided.

Preferred Experience

 

Experience in Section 2703 -ACA Medicaid health homes and community-based long-term services and supports (LTSS) needed by members with chronic conditions. Experience in healthcare informatics preferred.

Education Qualifications

 

Master’s degree in healthcare related field (e.g. MPH, MHA, Masters in Healthcare Informatics etc.) from an accredited institution required. 

Drivers License Required

Yes, must have a valid California Driver's License.

Knowledge Requirement

 

Principles of integrated, complex care management programs. Knowledge of relevant clinical principles including integrated care, complex care management, population health, and measurement-based care. Clinical systems including electronic health records, care management tools, and clinical registries Data management practices. Data analysis and modeling. Preferred familiarity with the ACA section 2703 – the Health Homes Program – and CalAIM. Knowledge in developing business requirements for clinical systems.

Skills Requirement

 

Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to customize messaging for varied audiences. Strong technical skills that include the ability to learn new software applications, test software applications, and train end users on technical applications. Highly organized with sharp attention to detail and able to handle multiple priorities. Providing systems training and technical assistance to providers and clinicians with varying levels of technical ability. Experience with using data to drive and monitor outcomes.

Starting Salary: $97,843.20  - $124,758.40  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
