Position Summary/Position


Under the direction of the Director of Health Services Special Initiatives, the Supervisor is responsible for assisting with health services special initiatives and projects, including initiation, planning, development, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of projects and programs. With administrative support, must be able to develop, plan, coordinate, and maintain the operations of complex healthcare programs, and special projects with an emphasis on program development and management including administration and regulatory oversight. The supervisor will be tasked with performing a variety of responsibilities for administering and managing special programs and initiatives, policies and procedures and monitoring systems to promote and ensure compliance with governmental, regulatory or organizational mandates. Must collaborate closely across all IEHP departments and with external organizations/Providers to assist in leading programs/projects. The Supervisor position is also highly engaged with Department and Health Services leadership in strategic planning.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)


Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Oversees, monitors, implements the administration of healthcare programs or special projects to meet objectives, and initiatives; sets priorities and resource allocation.
2. In cooperation with other departments, collects and analyzes data, generates reports, develops data metrics, analyzes results, oversees the preparation of reports; develops action plans and makes recommendations.
3. In cooperation with other departments, this position researches, analyzes and monitors legislation, regulations and program needs, develops guidelines, and implements process, policy and procedure changes, monitors program effectiveness.
4. In cooperation with other departments, establishes program standards, priorities and objectives; monitors initiatives; ensures compliance with regulations and attainment of program goals. 
5. In cooperation with other departments, develops and determines program/project goals, objectives, and financial requirements.
6. Acts as the subject matter expert for project development and program management, including bridging the gap between departments. 
7. Supports Department and Health Services leadership in strategic planning and overall program ownership. 
8. Provides expert guidance and works with leadership to establish strategic planning vision, policies and procedures, delivery frameworks, and methodologies for effective project and program oversight and management in order to meet expectations for project execution, documentation, and ongoing operation.

Experience Qualifications


Four (4) years of experience in a managed care environment with experience in managing complex projects and programs utilizing data, workplans, project management tools, developing and managing report and monitoring requirements. Comfortable with external and leadership facing presentations, and analytical capabilities.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.

Effectively translates the vision of leadership into operational strategies. Understands the operational systems and processes of the overall company, across multidisciplinary department strategies.  Knowledge of the local and regional Member and Provider demographics and relationships. Knowledge of healthcare industry, specifically managed care organizations. In depth understanding of health services programs.

Starting Salary: $91,000.00  - $116,022.40  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
