Position Summary/Position

 

This role requires an IT staff with supervisory experience, the understanding of enterprise IT application development life cycle, release processes, environment usage, and code deployment processes and technology for complex integrated enterprise applications.  Provide leadership and direction to Team Members to ensure that the team’s goals are met and providing opportunities for growth and learning. Position will function as the technical liaison between the Enterprise Application Support team, and various IT teams, such as deployment coordination, testing coordination, and monitoring the health of the various systems supported.  Continuously looking for ways to improve the usage of technology within the team and to increase the ability for proactive action.  Will require working with direct team, other IT units, various business units, and vendors to achieve the overall needs and goals of providing support to IEHP customers.  Role will also administer and support data retention/recovery and production job schedule as well as monitoring overall system performance.  Manage all environments, Production and non-production for maintenance, support, and usage. Role will be a key participant in the development and maintenance of standards, policies, diagramming all functions needed to maintain how the system(s) is/are used today and in the future.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

 

1. Lead a team of technical Team Members to provide direction and support.
2. Provide support to the leadership team by identifying opportunities for automation, improvement and escalating any areas of concern.
3. Mentor Team Members on best practice methods to identify functions and areas that would benefit from automation, general improvements to processes and  the investigation, remediation and root cause of identified issues or challenges. 
4. Empower Team Members to be proactive in their growth, both technically and professionally.  Champion and support each team members growth while allowing them to showcase their skills.
5. Ensure Team Members remain engaged and that there is a clear understanding of their importance to the team and the organization
6. Provide encouragement to be an outstanding service partner and to always look for new or better solutions to improve the business user experience with the systems that the team manages.  .
7. Proactive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for any issues that impact the systems that our team support
8. Collaborate with different Team Members and teams from both the IT and Business to investigate issues and provide support for process improvements. 
9. Ensure that all processes follow best practices and there is communication with teams that support upstream and downstream processes. 
10. Engagement with various teams to make sure there is an understanding how other teams changes may have impact on the processes that our team supports 
11. Assignment of projects and process to the technical team.
12. Responsible for code review (if applicable) and knowledge sharing on the technical team.
13. Responsible for documentation on all automated jobs and processes. 
14. Identify needs and collaborate on projects to improve support tools and processes.

Experience Qualifications

 

The following experience may be concurrent: five (5) plus years in software development/support, including root cause analysis, design, architecture, and solution delivery. Two (2) years in database administration and development, using Microsoft SQL Server or similar relational database application. Two (2) years programming with Structured Query Language (SQL).  Three (3) plus years of supervisory or leadership experience. Previous experience with automation and scripting tools.  Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Windows, application and web servers, client/server principles and techniques. Must possess experience, knowledge and understanding of database development, lifecycle management, tools, and cross-functional activities.

Preferred Experience

 

Experience preferably in a health care industry/organization.

Education Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Public or Business Administration, or Healthcare from an accredited institution required.


Significant experience may be considered in lieu of degree: In lieu of a degree, a minimum of thirteen (13) years of relevant work experience is required.

Knowledge Requirement

 

Knowledge of the following: software development life cycles, system analysis, business requirements, software specifications, general security practices and system integrations. Candidates must also have knowledge of the following subjects: database design & development (MS SQL, ORACLE, MySQL) and practical knowledge of enterprise systems (i.e., web-based and client hosted systems).  

Skills Requirement

 

Skills required involve acute analysis, observation, and good communication. Candidates must possess adequate skills in server-side development and a strong understanding of client-side implementations. Skilled in proactive problem investigation and resolution; including root cause analysis.

Candidate must be able to work well individually, in a team and function as a servant leader. Demonstrate the desire for continual improvement. Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility and ownership of processes. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. An ability to work well in a team is essential.

Starting Salary: $118,248.00  - $150,779.20  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
