Position Summary/Position
Under the direction of the Sr. Director, Process Improvement, the Process Improvement (PI) Special Programs Manager I position is responsible for managing a variety of complex programs of a broad and varied nature, within aggressive time frames, for the PI Department and Lean Transformation effort overall. The purpose of the position is to provide project management support to the entire Department, including acting as the sponsor liaison, project assessment and initiation, resource planning, project implementation, monitoring project plans, and supporting the PI Leadership team with development of other ad hoc programs as assigned.
Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
1. Work with PI Leadership and stakeholders to understand Lean deployment opportunities and support those efforts with the development of appropriate programs and products, as necessary.
2. Manage stakeholder relationships and their respective projects, including negotiating details on final deliverables and ensuring deliverables are met timely, within quality standards, and meeting stakeholder needs.
3. Develop and maintain department-wide project plans. Implement project plans by assigning tasks to available resources and ensuring projects are completed according to given timelines.
4. Monitor workplans and initiatives to ensure all deliverables are met.
5. Complete research and analysis of assigned programs and share information with the assigned workgroups.
6. Develop and maintain an auditing system for the Department’s educational materials. Ensure that the most current documents are approved for use by the Facilitators and are maintained in a system that is easily accessible for educational purposes by Team Members.
7. Conduct routine updates of all assigned projects, communicate status with stakeholders, and escalate known issues.
8. Manage team building programs for the department, including those related to the engagement surveys. Track activities and monitor progress over time.
9. Document and maintain standard work for routine processes.
10. Provide product development and programmatic support to PI Leadership as needed.

Experience Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience managing complex projects and or programs utilizing data, work plans and project management tools.
Preferred Experience
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution is required.
Preferred Education
Master’s degree in Public Health from an accredited institution preferred.

Knowledge Requirement
Knowledge of process improvement or Lean principles are preferred.

Starting Salary: $70,012.80 - $89,273.60
Pay rate will commensurate with experience
