Position Summary/Position


Under direction of the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO), the Project Manager III manages large projects through the project life cycle within the set timeline and budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager III will also define the project’s objectives and oversee project quality throughout its life cycle.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)


1. Provide leadership and direction to IEHP Projects from inception through development and deployment, following IEHP standard processes and methodologies.
2. Manage large, high complexity, high risk projects.
3. Collaborate with project sponsors and key stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables and timeline.
4. Ensures that scope is clearly defined, business requirements are documented properly, and project plans are established which will meet planned objectives and successful project delivery.
5. Ensure that solutions (both technical and non-technical) are developed, tested,  and verified against the agreed project scope
6. Effectively communicate project expectations to project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members in a timely and clear fashion.  This includes setting and continuing to manage project expectations with team members and all stakeholders.
7. Maintain project documentation as required, including but not limited to project charters, requirements documentation, design documents, issue and defect logs, status reports, test plans, scripts, and meeting notes.
8. Proactively manage changes to project scope; manage project risks and issues, escalating issues as necessary for timely resolution.
9. Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones.
10. Develop and manage project budgets.
11. Provide direction to project team members to ensure proper staffing, teamwork, and collaboration.
12. When required, leads or assists with the development of Request for Proposals (RFP) for external products and/or services.
13. Perform other work tasks to support IT and the business departments on an as-needed basis
14. Adhere to established standards and practices leveraged within the ePMO, IT, and the business.
15. Manage vendors and contractors on assigned engagements
16. Manage medium to large projects and technology deployments that affect how we do business
17. Manage multiple projects as needed; medium to high complexity
18. Handle large organizational change management functions to address key projects assigned
19. Manage and control large budgets allocated for projects assigned
20. Manage large project teams with effective communicates and coordination.

Experience Qualifications


Seven (7+) plus years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, utilizing standard project management tools including all aspects of process development and execution in both technical and functional settings. Must have worked in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.

Preferred Experience


Three years of experience in Healthcare is desirable.

Education Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related program from an accredited institution required. 

Professional Certification


LEAN, Green Belt Six Sigma knowledge and certifications are a plus.

Certified PMP desired but not required.

Knowledge Requirement


Should be familiar with project management best-practices, SDLC and Agile methodologies e.g. Waterfall and Scrum.

Strong familiarity with project management software such as MS Project and Workfront.

Skills Requirement


High proficiency with MS Visio and MS Office product suite.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Abilities Requirement


Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

Starting Salary: $85,841.60  - $109,449.60  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
