Position Summary/Position
The Manager, Compensation will be actively involved in the planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining of new and revised compensation programs, policies, and procedures to align with IEHP’s goals and practices. Ensure IEHP’s compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. Lead and work alongside the compensation team to serve the business needs of our internal clients as it relates to position description development, compensation offers, position control oversight, and the performance review merit program. The Manager, Compensation will report to the Director, HR Total Rewards.
Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
1. Manage the development, implementation, and administration of IEHP’s compensation practices and programs. Frequently review and update for relevance and accuracy for industry competitiveness and to support and drive IEHP’s culture.
2. Function as a hands-on contributor in the unit’s operational activities, including new hire offer evaluations, job family and functional job evaluations, merits, promotions, off-cycle adjustments, ad-hoc and cyclical market pricing. Provide compensation support for reorganizations, reclassifications, and related projects to enable business objectives and initiatives.
3. Develop, enhance, and implement salary grade structures, job levels and job families. Maintain ongoing competitiveness and effectiveness of salary ranges to the marketplace. Oversee audit results and benchmarking to recommend appropriate salary adjustment or alignment.
4. Partner with the compensation committee to manage, administer, and advise on all compensation related programs. Assist with developing communication strategies and materials for compensation processes.
5. Collaborate with the team to enable HR systems to align with the administration of compensation functions such as salary grades, structures, FLSA classification, premium differentials, and other related data.
6. Manage the compensation staff including developing, training, and performance management.
7. Execute, develop, and lead the team in the process of compiling, preparing, and presenting data. Ensure compensation administration procedures are evaluated for efficiencies.
8. Participate in and oversee the participation in salary surveys and compensation systems data updates and monitor salary survey data to ensure organizational compensation objectives are achieved. Conduct and analyze market salary studies as needed for various compensation benchmarking.
9. Oversee the annual performance review merit program and collaborate with the project team on system configuration.
10. Educate leaders on compensation best practices, ensuring consistency of the program and principles to support effective partnerships and business outcomes.
11. Ensure the organization is compliant with all applicable compensation-related regulations and standards.
12. Research and maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulation.

Experience Qualifications
Minimum six (6) years of progressive experience in compensation administration. Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience or in a lead capacity.
Preferred Experience
Education Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or relevant field from an accredited institution required.
Preferred Education
Master’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.
Professional Certification
PHR, SPHR, or CCP certification preferred.

Knowledge Requirement
Requires knowledge of the administration of compensation. Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation programs and practices. Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation. Must have an understanding FLSA standards, including overtime exemption requirements and duties test.
Skills Requirement
Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong analytical skills. Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude. Skilled in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc. Outstanding interpersonal skills to build and enhance internal and external relationships. Working Conditions
Position is eligible for Hybrid work location upon completing the necessary steps and receiving HR approval. All IEHP positions approved for telecommute or hybrid work locations may periodically be required to report to IEHP’s main campus for mandatory in-person meetings or for other business needs as determined by IEHP leadership.

A reasonable salary expectation is between $118,248.00 and $150,779.20, based upon experience and internal equity.
