Position Summary/Position


The Leader Trainer, RN oversees the development and coordinates the execution of the IEHP Enhanced Care Management (ECM) training program to provide internal and community ECM Provider the training, materials, and support needed to develop and maintain knowledge and skills necessary for ECM core services.  Key elements of the ECM training plan include Needs Assessment, Curriculum Development, Content and materials development, and Coordinate Trainers, & ECM training compliance. 

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)


1. Model the highest ethical behavior in relationships with co-workers, management, and other colleagues.
2. Oversees on-the-job coaching, mentoring, and support to new trainees.
3. Provides leadership and guidance of day-to-day L&D trainers and activities.
4. Collaborates with Learning & Development Leadership to review, evaluate and modify existing and proposed programs.
5. Facilitates train-the-trainer sessions for the organization.
6. Provides input on changes to improve curriculum, training environment build, or other training deliverables.
7. Completes basic assessment of end-user learning gaps and make recommendations for learning solutions.
8. Works with business partners to define learning solution objectives to ensure the impact can be measured and is linked to business goals.
9. Selects or develops training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, and reference works.
10. Proficient in all electronic health management systems (e.g., Cisco, MHK, Super Search, MediTrac, and Web Portal) 
11. In partnership with L&D leadership, evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.
12. Creates project documentation including the design templates, standards, style guides, technical specifications, train-the-trainer, and pilot materials.
13. Demonstrates flexibility in a fast-paced work environment where priorities are constantly changing.
14. Models the importance of passion for training and contribute to creating an open, fun culture of learning.
15. Designs, develops, evaluates, and updates training content, materials, manuals, tests, and related training aids to ensure optimum effectiveness.
16. May review trainer performance and recommend improvements to program content and/or instructor presentation methods.
17. This position may require flexibility of hours to accommodate some weekend/after hour training sessions.
18. Performs at advanced competency for WebEx/E-Learning.
19. Maintains and updates ECM training plan.
20. Conducts periodic ECM training needs assessments.
21. Creates and updates ECM training curriculum.
22. Identifies and assigns internal and/or external trainers and subject matter experts for:
a. Participation in curriculum development
b. Content and materials development
c. Training activities
23. Participates in development of ECM written materials, as appropriate to background and training.
24. Participates in ECM training activities, as appropriate to background and training.
25. Oversees ECM library of recorded/stored training materials.
26. Oversees collection of training evaluation data.
27. Compiles and composes regular and at least annual ECM training plan reports.

Experience Qualifications


Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare related field experience in designing, developing, and implementing healthcare related training curricula. Experience working directly in a clinic or healthcare setting where services are provided. Experience partnering with internal and external stakeholders. Experience with process improvement. Developing communications and training plans. Agenda development and meeting facilitation. Commitment to working with vulnerable populations.

Preferred Experience


Experience with integrated, whole-person models of care and safety net population preferred. LEAN experience desirable. Experience with integrated, whole-person models of care and safety net population preferred.  Project Management Experience Preferred; Multi-Media experience a plus.

Education Qualifications


High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Education


Relevant Bachelor’s degree, in Nursing, from an accredited institution preferred.

Professional Certification


ATD Master Trainer Certification preferred

Professional Licenses


Possession of an active, unrestricted, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California BRN required.

Drivers License Required

Yes, must have a valid California Driver's License.

Starting Salary: $91,000.00  - $116,022.40
