Position Summary/Position

 

The IT Technical Project Manager III - Infrastructure comprises of hardware systems, software, network connections and servers. The IT Technical Project Manager III - Infrastructure will manage various IT infrastructure needs of the exchange or a project. This role requires solid infrastructure skills to manage complex infrastructure projects and manage multiple work streams and complex projects.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

 

1. Assess the requirements of the project and recommending suitable IT components.
2. Analyze different options and recommending the most suitable for the project economically feasible.
3. Work on improving the IT infrastructure of the organization.
4. Recommend upgrades and new systems that will be more useful for the project.
5. Prepare Plan and status report for IT infrastructure projects.
6. Keep a constant check on the project KPI’s and ensure that project KPI’s are not breached.
7. Formulate procedures and policies for optimum utilization of IT infrastructure resources in the company.
8. Lead IT staff, consultants, vendors, and suppliers.
9. Meet with managers of different departments and assessing IT infrastructure needs.
10. Meet with IT analysts and finalizing essential IT infrastructure.
11. Command of Schedule, Scope, Budget, Quality and Benefits always in the life cycle of the project.
12. Plan and supervise installation of IT infrastructure in the company.
13. Make sure that the infrastructure development project is completed within the given time frame.
14. Manage Stakeholder Relationships.
15. Manage Development of the Project Plan.
16. Manage Project Progress.
17. Manage Project Acceptance.
18. Manage Project Transitions.
19. Evaluate & Improve Project Performance.

Experience Qualifications

 

Minimum of ten (10) years of direct work experience in an Infrastructure project management capacity, utilizing standard project management tools including all aspects of plan development and execution in both technical and functional settings. Must have worked in a team-oriented and collaborative environment. Previous hands-on infrastructure experience. Prior experience is required to develop a detailed working plan to ensure our success.

Preferred Experience

 

Experience in healthcare is desirable. Knowledge or experience with Lean methodologies a plus.

Education Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management or similar technical field from an accredited institution required.

Drivers License Required

Yes, must have a valid California Driver's License.

Knowledge Requirement

 

Strong understanding of:
- Healthcare issues, information systems, management issues, and current trends.
- Conceptualizing business strategies while implementing information systems and technology strategic direction.
- All aspects of information technology specifically with complex infrastructure environments 
- Building a critical path and understanding the right questions to ask
- Several of following helpful: Cisco Infra Products, PowerCenter/Power Exchange, ISIM/ISAM, Sailpoint IIQ, CA workload Automation, SQL Server, WebSphere, DataPower, LDAP, Corticon Rules Engine etc.

A reasonable salary expectation is between $91,000.00  - $116,022.40, based upon experience and internal equity
