Position Summary/Position


The Human Resources Generalist III is responsible for performing high level, innovative Human Resources analysis and synthesis to assist leaders to consensus and/or action regarding HR matters.  The HR Generalist III:
- Determines the depth and holistic approach to problem solving;
- Moves insights from the abstract to the concrete;
- Crystallizes HR initiatives, problem solving processes and programs in the following functional areas: HR Operations, Benefits Administration, Compensation, Talent Development, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition and/or Risk Management.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)


1. Represents the HR Chief, Director and/or Manager in their absence and is a trusted resource for the leadership team and consistently demonstrates IEHP organizational values while building strong internal relationships.
2. Leads major HR projects and initiatives; develops solutions and courses of action.
3. Consults with management, providing HR advice, guidance and decisions when appropriate to Leadership Team and Team Members. 
4. Works closely with Leadership Team and Team Members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. 
5. Analyzes and synthesizes information in partnership with the HR Team to develop solutions, programs and policies. 
6. Ensures the privacy and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) as outlined in IEHP's policies and procedures relating to HIPAA compliance.
7. Specific duties and responsibilities may include:
    - Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. 
    - Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. 
    - Orchestrates policy administration to ensure employment policies and procedures reflect the most current practices and remain in compliance with federal and state law. 
    - Assists with implementation and facilitation of process improvement and strategic initiatives.
    - Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required. 
    - Develops contract terms with External Consultants/Contractors/ Search Firms.
    - Works closely with Finance Department on budgetary review and recommendations.
    - Participates as HR Representative in compliance audit submissions.
    - EEO-4 survey preparation and submission bi-annually.

Experience Qualifications


Six (6) years in a Human Resources Function.

Preferred Experience


Prior HRIS system experience preferred.

Education Qualifications


Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required.

Preferred Education


Master's Degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Professional Certification


PHR/SPHR certification or equivalent preferred.

Professional Licenses

Drivers License Required


Knowledge Requirement


- Broad understanding of Human Resources principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations including Title VII, EEOC, ADA, and FLSA.

Skills Requirement


- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills. 
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) prior HRIS system experience preferred.

A reasonable salary expectation is between $79,809.60  - $101,774.40, based upon experience and internal equity.
