Position Summary/Position


The Foundation President is a strategic, visionary, relationship driven executive who has the courage to see beyond today, align multiple stakeholders, and consistently achieve results that know no boundaries. The Foundation President will report to the Foundation Board of Directors. The President is responsible for developing a strategic direction and implementing a high-quality vision that strongly connects to and supports IEHP’s Mission, Vision and Values (MVV). The President has a proven track record of building a brand, leading others, and has superb communication skills.  
The President works collaboratively with the Foundation Board of Directors to establish and execute strategic priorities that support our region’s most vulnerable while ensuring compliance with legal and fiduciary responsibilities of the organization. This position is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the foundation, collaborating with the Executive Team at IEHP, and securing funding from federal, state, local or foundation funding to support the Foundation’s mission.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)


1. Set a long-term Vision for the organization that is alignment with, and support of, IEHP’s Mission, Vision, and Values.  The Foundation is an amplifier and accelerator of IEHP.
2. Quickly build relationships with existing and new partners to create a network of collaborative resources, working across public, private, corporate and other sectors to bring the Vision to life.
3. Co-create a Strategic Plan for the Foundation with key stakeholders including the Foundation Board and significant community input.  
4. Establish and achieve clear measures of success and demonstrate progress towards those metrics on an annual and multi-year basis.  The President will ensure that our Foundation is an outcomes driven organization that achieves results. 
5. Create annual communication plan to keep stakeholders informed of the work of the Foundation.
6. Create an organizational infrastructure and culture that is an example of IEHP’s Mission, Vision, and Values and capable of achieving the Foundation’s Vision.  
7. Build, educate, and steward the board and organizational structure that will successfully achieve the organization’s Vision.  Builds and maintains trusting relationships.  
8. Manages day-to-day operations of Foundation, supervising staff and directing activities and projects.
9. Develops and reviews reports to acquire understanding of the organization’s performance results across a wide range of balanced measures (e.g. financial results, health outcomes, operational efficacy) 
10. Devises remedial actions for any identified issues and conducts crisis management when necessary.
11. Closely partners with IEHP Leadership to align the Foundation’s work to serve those most vulnerable with a focus on Medi-Cal Members in the Inland Empire.
12. Prepare and manage an annual operating and capital budget in conjunction with the Foundation Board and the IEHP President/CEO. 
13. Perform other related duties as assigned by the IEHP President/CEO and/or the Foundation Board Chair.

Experience Qualifications


Seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience leading a team and managing people. Five (5) years of experience in nonprofit experience as executive director or in other managerial position. Proven experience as executive director or in other high level leadership position. Experience in developing strategies and plans. Experience in building organizations from the ground up. Experience in achieving sustainable improvements to community health outcomes.

Education Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution.

Preferred Education


Master’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.  

Drivers License Required

Yes, must have a valid California Driver's License.

Knowledge Requirement


- Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance principles and executive best practices.

Starting Salary: $181,292.80  - $240,219.20  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
