Position Summary/Position


This position will be responsible to participate in the preparation and maintenance of the operating budget, monthly variance analyses, and database queries and reports. Candidate will also establish new accounts, preparation of board and regulatory reporting, support Medicare annual bid and audit process, manage state Rate Development Template (RDT) processes, and ad hoc business analysis.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)


1. Preparation of annual operating budget and periodic revisions.
2. Coordinate information for Rate Development Template (RDT).
3. Prepare and maintain periodic cash projections.
4. Prepare, analyze and reconcile financial data from organization’s operations.
5. Research coding issues using Halo, Diamond, and GP/Oracle Financial software.
6. Analyzing Access data including development of analytical reports, including conducting analysis, summarizing and interpretation of results.
7. Support audit requests for data and develop responses from internal and external auditors.
8. Act as primary liaison with Information Technology and Healthcare Informatics departments to define and translate requirements into technical applications.
9. Establishing new account numbers.
10. Perform quality assurance and peer review on financial reports and other output.

Experience Qualifications


Minimum five years of Finance experience. Experience in developing complex budgets. Experience in developing complex reports using financial reporting software.

Preferred Experience


Managed Care or related industry experience preferred.

Experience in statutory reporting a plus.

SQL experience a plus.

Experience with Oracle and Hyperion a plus.

Education Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution required.

Preferred Education

Masters degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Knowledge Requirement


Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles and methodologies. Strong knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint. Principles and practices of health care industry and strategies, health care systems, capitated risk contracting, provider network structures and risk sharing arrangements a plus.

Quickly gain an understanding of data requests (scope and purpose) and to produce accurate and useful reports.

Cross-train and back up other areas of the department.

Physical Requirements


Starting Salary: $75,296.00  - $95,992.00  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
