Position Summary/Position
Under the direction of department leadership, the Financial Analyst II - Financial Compliance is responsible for analytical and reporting needs of the department. The Financial Analyst II - Finance Compliance builds reporting structures by identifying information required for the project and creates the SQL tables to extract the MediTrac data. This data is shared with the Financial Analyst I - Financial Compliance and is used for creating dashboards/reports for the various business units.
Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
1. Serve as technical lead for analysis and reporting efforts to support the various units in the Financial Compliance Department.
2. Extract claims data from SQL databases and performing data validation quality checks.
3. Share data with the Financial Analyst I - Financial Compliance for creating dashboards/reports for the various business units.
4. Collaborate with Team Members to manage complex project requests and report development needs while ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
5. Document all analysis/reporting projects, following established protocols, ensuring replication of results by an independent reviewer.
6. Demonstrate a commitment to incorporate LEAN principles into daily work.
7. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others throughout the organization.
8. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by the department leadership team.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Experience Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in working with financial data analysis, manipulating, and pulling large data sets, and working with complex reports required. Experience working with SQL and relational database structures. Experience in Managed Care or related industry experience required.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Health/Business Administration, Accounting or a related field from an accredited institution required.
Preferred Education
Master’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Knowledge Requirement
Knowledge of the principles and practices of the health care industry and managed care systems required.
Skills Requirement
Microsoft SQL data retrieval and manipulation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access. Skilled in thoroughly documenting database queries, macros, etc. Excellent communication and writing skills. Strong query design abilities.
Abilities Requirement
Strong problem-solving capability. Strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects with time-sensitive deadlines. Ability to quickly adapt to changes in priorities. Ability to quickly gain an understanding of data requests (scope and purpose) and to produce accurate and useful reports.

A reasonable salary expectation is between $70,012.80 and $89,273.60, based upon experience and internal equity.
