Position Summary/Position


Under the direction of the department leadership team, the Financial Analyst II - Financial Compliance is responsible for supporting the needs of the department by preparing standard and/or ad hoc financial reports such as claims overpayments, refund reconciliation, claims payment information, provider billing trends, etc.
This position requires experience extracting data from SQL databases by writing and running queries to create reports for the department. 

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)


1. Create standard and ad-hoc reports to support the Financial Compliance Department.
2. Use SQL Server tables to prepare reports to support the auditing and accounting teams.
3. Communicate with team members to understand and document reporting needs.
4. Perform quality checks on data.
5. Demonstrate a commitment to incorporate LEAN principles into daily work.
6. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others throughout the organization.
7. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by the department leadership team.

Experience Qualifications


Minimum of three (3) years of experience in working with financial data analysis, manipulating, and pulling large data sets, and working with complex reports required.

Preferred Experience


Managed Care or related industry experience preferred.

Education Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Health/Business Administration, Accounting or a related field from an accredited institution required.

Preferred Education


Master’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Drivers License Required


Knowledge Requirement


Strong knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of the health care industry and managed care systems a plus.

Skills Requirement


Moderate skill level in SQL and Access (or equivalent database) data manipulation. Skilled in thoroughly documenting database queries, macros, etc. as defined by policy. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in order to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and management.

Abilities Requirement


Strong attention to detail, with the ability to quickly adapt to changes in priorities. Ability to quickly gain an understanding of data requests (scope and purpose) and to produce accurate and useful reports. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

A reasonable salary expectation is between$70,012.80  - $89,273.60, based upon experience and internal equity.
