Position Summary/Position
This position will participate in the preparation and maintenance of the operating budget, monthly variance analyses, and database queries and reports. Along with these functions, this position will also participate in developing, monitoring, and reporting any assigned IEHP Program Dashboards.
Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
1. Prepare monthly operational reports and evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with planned budget.
2. Develop and maintain financial reports using Oracle Hyperion financial reporting software.
3. Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
4. Create accruals during month-end for business units, projects, or programs assigned.
5. Develop, monitor, and report monthly financial dashboard for assigned program or area of concentration.
6. Participate in the development of the operating budget and any periodic revisions necessary.
7. Prepare revenue budget and assist with medical costs budget.
8. Create ad-hoc reports and analysis when requested.
9. Provide support with requests from internal and external auditors.
10. Perform quality assurance on any work created that is shared both internally and externally to other business units within the organization.
11. Collect and prepare operational costs for Rate Development Template (RDT).

Experience Qualifications
Minimum three years of business finance or related experience. Experience in budget to actual variance analysis. Experience in developing financial reports using ERP system reporting software. Experience working with Oracle and Hyperion or another ERP system.
Preferred Experience
Managed Care or related industry experience preferred, including but not limited to budgeting, planning, and capital management. Experience in statutory reporting a plus. Access, Word, PowerPoint and SQL experience a plus.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution required.

Knowledge Requirement
Strong understanding of accounting/financial principles and methodologies. Strong knowledge and demonstrative proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel. Principles and practices of health care industry and strategies, health care systems, capitated risk contracting, provider network structures and risk sharing arrangements a plus.
Skills Requirement
Ability to quickly gain an understanding of data requests (scope and purpose) and to produce accurate and useful reports. Synthesize data and communicate it clearly. Cross-train and back up other areas of the department. Intermediate skill level in Excel. Proficiency with Oracle Hyperion and Fusion ERP Systems. Familiarity with SQL or Access Databases.

This position requires the ability to sit at a computer workstation for an extended period. There is also moderate noise in such a business office environment with the use of computers, phones, and printers.

Starting Salary: $70,012.80 - $89,273.60
Pay rate will commensurate with experience
