Position Summary/Position

 

A seasoned professional and leader in the information security team. Provides leadership and technical guidance for information security department functions. Performs functions to ensure information security risk is identified and addressed.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

 

1. Lead the planning, development and maintaining of information security operations functions. 
2. Technical subject matter expert for security risk assessments and audits 
3. Leads and performs security investigations. 
4. Leads the coordination of Information Security Incident Response function(s).
5. Work with outside vendors to perform security testing and compliance auditing on IEHP information systems.
6. Conducts research on security hardware \ software solutions and vendors then proposes recommendations to the Information Security Team. 
7. Propose solutions to reduce risks and overcome information security challenges.
8. Promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
9. Attend conferences and training as required to increase and maintain proficiency.

Experience Qualifications

 

Six (6) years of experience in IT and Networking technologies, HIPAA Security, Leadership abilities, Cyber Security technologies, documentation.

Education Qualifications

 

High School Diploma or GED required.

Professional Certification

 

IT administration or security related certification(s) preferred.

Knowledge Requirement

 

Must have strong working knowledge and understanding of the following: Information Security, TCP\IP, Firewalls, Microsoft Systems Administration, Vulnerability scanning, VPN, Endpoint protection technologies, IT Risk Assessments, Auditing, Incident Response, Computer Forensics, Incident response, Encryption, Physical Security, HIPAA Security Rule, NIST SP 800 Series Standards, NIST Cyber Security Framework, CIS Critical Security Controls, ITIL.

Skills Requirement

 

Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Operating System configuration, technical device configuration, Event log reading.

Abilities Requirement

 

Create reports and documentation. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members. Focus on customer needs. Build strong work relationships inside and outside the department.

Starting Salary: $91,000.00  - $116,022.40  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
