Position Summary/Position

 

The Director Technology – Infrastructure Services will provide leadership and vision for the IT Infrastructure organization and will be accountable for maintaining, managing, and transforming our hybrid infrastructure in alignment to business strategy and goals.
The Director Technology – Infrastructure Services is responsible for:
- Running day to day Operations of incident response, systems monitoring and system configuration.
- Leading all activities tied to the design, implementation, and operations of core infrastructure platforms and services (cloud, server, network, database, backup, voice/UC, end user, etc.) that are critical to the success of IEHP
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with business counterparts within the organization.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

 

The responsibilities of Senior Director – Infrastructure Services include the following:
Strategy & IT Operations Governance 
1. Develop healthy relationships with business stakeholders and work closely on strategy and initiatives planning and execution.
2. Develop IT Strategies by collaborating with IT leadership and Business stakeholders in the following areas:
  a. Datacenter Operations and Engineering
  b. Network and Voice Services
  c. Workplace Services
3. Develop the Infrastructure Operations & Engineering roadmap and ensure its integration with the overall IT/enterprise strategic plans.
Leadership & Management 
4. Develop and lead a high performing infrastructure engineering and operations team to ensure reliable delivery of IT services and operations.
5. Work closely with IEHP’s IT and Business leaders to ensure the delivery of major strategic initiatives on schedule, and within budget.
6. Define, design, and implement comprehensive monitoring strategy to detect and isolate issues before impacting system availability.
7. Develop partnerships with IT Leaders and co-develop IT roadmap to support IEHP’s achievement of its mission.
8. Drive the delivery of major infrastructure projects and service management improvements, ensuring that quality, productivity, and ROI goals are achieved.
9. Cultivate customer-centric culture throughout the technology teams to deepen internal and external relationships.
10. Implement effective lifecycle management to drive system & technology consolidation and keep footprint supported and cost-effective.
11. Lead the IT skills development initiatives and groom the next level leadership.
12. Lead IT security efforts, including timely application of critical patches, as well as the development and testing of disaster recovery plans.
13. Implement best practices and processes to ensure compliance on all IT infrastructure resources according to policies and established standards.
Vendor Management 
14. Vendor management and Governance
15. Periodic performance review by defining meaningful metrics 
16. Oversee, negotiate, and evaluate successful relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Leader: Administers Hires, Terminations, and Performance Reviews

Experience Qualifications

 

A minimum of ten (10) years of information systems experience at a leadership level.
Of the ten (10) years of experience requirement minimum, eight (8) years must include a successful track record of:
-­ IT transformation track-record at a leadership level.
­- Successful implementation of large-scale technology transformation initiatives with strong change management expertise.
-­ Experience as facilitator and negotiator/mediator.
­- Expertise in ITIL v3 processes (incident, change, problem, configuration, etc.).

Preferred Experience

Education Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management or similar technical field from an accredited institution required.

Professional Certification

 

ITIL Expert, Project Management (PMP), Technical certifications on Cloud and OS required.

Professional Licenses

Drivers License Required

Yes, must have a valid California Driver's License.

Knowledge Requirement

 

Knowledge of:
­ IT Strategy planning, IT Methodologies/Processes, cloud and digital technologies, scalable architectures, automation technologies.
- Current business practices and computing systems, IT development methodologies and operations.
- Program and project management and planning, process mapping, and budget management.
- Vendor and partner management. 
Strong understanding of:
­- Healthcare issues, information systems, management issues, and current trends.
­- Conceptualizing business strategies while implementing information systems and technology strategic direction.

Skills Requirement

- Budget management skills. Proven skills in budget preparation fiscal management.

Starting Salary: $159,036.80  - $210,724.80  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
