Position Summary/Position


The Director Technology - Architecture & Digital Innovation will lead the architecture and innovation competency centers for the enterprise. The competency centers will create the innovation and architecture strategy, governance and roadmap execution to facilitate the conversion of business strategies into technical direction, and achieve long term goals for technology landscape simplification and innovation.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)


Enterprise Architecture Competency Center
1. Lead the development of the enterprise architecture function and team of architects.
2. Lead and influence the enterprise architecture direction with key leaders and align team structure to meet the IT strategic goals.
3. Review and structure the team for optimal allocation of responsibilities across enterprise and solution architecture requirements and build clear career tracks for success of the architecture team.
4. Build a business partnership and collaborative mindset with the team members.
5. Assess and recommend the organizational resources and cultural change necessary to support the enterprise architecture function.
6. Collaborate with the IT leadership team to develop and maintain the enterprise-wide application, infrastructure and security technology roadmap.
7. Define application rationalization strategy, and guide execution roadmap.
8. Establish and track key metrics to demonstrate the progress of the architecture function.
9. Ownership of enterprise IT standards; define requirements, principles and models that guide technology decision-making.
10. Maintain documentation of architectures, system landscape and logical data interfaces.
11. Build, maintain, and facilitate strong vendor partner networks that are critical to the success of IEHP now and in the future represented by our roadmap and future strategies
12. Analyze IT industry and market trends to determine their impact on the enterprise.
Digital Innovation Competency Center
1. Lead the refinement and execution of mid- and long-term digital roadmap.
2. Lead innovation team to develop rapid proof of concepts/minimum viable innovation products utilizing agile and design thinking methodologies.
3. Understanding of new technologies such as AI/ML, RPA, Blockchain, cloud capabilities.
4. Experience in managing partner ecosystems for innovation development and new idea generation.
5. Develop ongoing digital fluency program for IT and the enterprise.
6. Facilitate digital initiative prioritization and governance for the enterprise.
7. Stay abreast on technology and its Industry specific advancements to help keep IEHP as a fast follower.

Leader: Administers Hires, Terminations, and Performance Reviews

Experience Qualifications


A minimum of twelve (10) years of information systems experiences at a leadership level including a minimum of eight (8) years of successful track record of:
­- IT transformation track-record at a leadership level.
­- Successful creation and running of an Enterprise Architecture function
­- Influential collaborative leadership, bringing in thought leadership to the organization
­- Experience as facilitator and negotiator/mediator.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management or similar technical field from an accredited institution required.

Knowledge Requirement


Knowledge of:
­- IT Strategy planning, IT Methodologies/Processes, cloud and digital technologies, scalable architectures, automation technologies
­- Architectural Patterns and models
­- Domain models and capability modeling 
- Current business practices and computing systems, IT development methodologies and operations
- Knowledge about infrastructure / Datacenter architecture
- Cloud native technologies and participation in digital consortiums and forums
Strong understanding of:
­- Healthcare issues, information systems, management issues, and current trends.
­- Conceptualizing business strategies while implementing information systems and technology strategic direction.

Skills Requirement


- Strong planning, organization, critical thinking, decision-making and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Budget management skills. Proven skills in budget preparation fiscal management.
- Group presentation, leadership, team building, analytical and organizational skills.
- TOGAF or equivalent industry certifications.

Starting Salary: $159,036.80  - $210,724.80  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
