Position Summary/Position
The Director of Strategic Decision Support is responsible for managing a team of analysts that provides strategic analytic support to assist with the planning and development of strategic initiatives in line with the company’s Mission, Vision and Values. The team will collaborate with leaders from business units across the organization, providing data and analysis that enable actionable insights to operations, and to facilitate solutions that allow for informed decision making.
Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
1. Provide analytic support necessary to assist with the planning and development of strategic initiatives in line with the company’s Mission, Vision and Values
2. Collaborate with other business units across the organization to develop ROI or costs benefit analysis for strategic initiatives.
3. Partner with VP of strategy in new business strategic development.
4. Conduct forecast scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
5. Present and lead discussion of results and insights in a collaborative and efficient manner.
6. Lead a team of analysts to ensure cohesive team culture and effective collaboration with other business units.
7. Manage strategic decision support unit including recruiting, training, and coaching team members.
8. Maintain deep knowledge and insight of competitive and regulatory landscape, along with research, on various aspects of health care industry.

Experience Qualifications
Ten (10) years of health care experience. Five (5) years of managing experience is required.
Preferred Experience
Education Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited institution required; MBA preferred.
Preferred Education
Professional Certification
Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) is required; Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) is preferred.

Knowledge Requirement
In-depth health care industry knowledge. Strong understanding of healthcare market landscape. Knowledge of accounting/finance concepts. Extensive knowledge of MS Excel, Power Point. Knowledge of SQL Programming or relational database is preferred.
Skills Requirement
Excellent facilitation skills and project management skills. Strong conceptual problem-solving skills. Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral & written).

Working Conditions
Physical Requirements
Starting Salary: $159,036.80 - $210,724.80
Pay rate will commensurate with experience
