Position Summary/Position


The Director of Learning and Development works closely with the Chief of OD, Director of HR, and CEO as well as Senior
Evolve the organization’s learning philosophy and strategy; 
Develop and deploy a strategic plan for the Center for Learning and Innovation that includes internal training for employees and external training for outside healthcare organizations;  
Implement a systems management approach for developing cost effective training options to meet specific needs of the organization; 
Assess and develop high quality training/education for the healthcare community; and 
Collaborate with educational entities to form partnerships; and
Ensure the quality of all training through effective needs assessments, course design, qualified instructors, evaluation, training resource materials, and learning reinforcement strategies.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)


1. Provide strategic direction and leadership for company-wide organizational training and development programs and initiatives.
2. Prioritize training needs in concert with business leaders. Develop, implement and evaluate effectiveness of programs.
3. Diagnose large scale organization effectiveness issues and consult with business units to influence change.
4. Work directly with senior leadership to ensure all performance management and development are aligned with organizational strategic objectives.
5. Develop leadership strategies that align current development programs and strengthen the skill base of existing and future leaders to enhance the leadership talent pipeline.
6. Assess and build leadership depth, pipeline and capability.
7. Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess training needs and manage a catalog of offerings including executive leadership development and assessments, technical training, etc. (this can include internal and external training/education).
8. Work with Directors to plan and execute leadership development strategies that align with overarching company goals and targets.
9. Conduct annual training and development needs assessment.
10. Audit existing training offerings and refresh, design and deliver functional and leadership-based programs across all teams and locations.
11. Provide guidance, mentorship and support to other personnel involved in training related initiatives.
12. Manage ad hoc requests for various training initiatives and customized programs.
13. Set up mechanisms to measure ROI on training and provide periodic reporting to company leadership.
14. Provide logistical support, course development, delivery, evaluation, process measurements, and cost management.
15. Ability to develop creative solutions that address relevant business needs and support the culture and environment.

Experience Qualifications


Minimum of six years of experience in the areas of Organizational Development, Leadership Development, or Human Resource Management. At least three years of leadership experience in the area of Organizational Development, Human Resources, or Talent Development. Broad experience/knowledge of Leadership Development best practices. Experience in Process Improvement (LEAN, Six Sigma).

Master’s degree in Organization Development, Leadership, HR or equivalent from an accredited institution required.

Working Conditions

Physical Requirements


Starting Salary: $159,036.80  - $210,724.80  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
