Position Summary/Position

 

Under the direction of the Manager of Web & Internal Communications, the Digital Communications Strategist plays a critical role in integrated marketing and communications. This position is responsible for gathering all information across the company and external vendors or partners required to develop communications plans and write content for social media, digital advertising, and email collaterals specifically to IEHP members, providers, partners, and general community. In addition, this position will develop and execute strategies and monitor the marketing programs in collaboration with other departments and external vendors.  

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

 

1. Work with IEHP management and creative team to develop various internal and external social media, digital advertising, and email communication messages and strategies.
2. Facilitate, collaborate, and act as liaison for marketing partnerships with external departments & integrate relevant campaigns into the integrated marketing & communications plan.
3. Ensure social media, digital advertising, and email deliverables support IEHP branding profile and goals.
4. Consult with the appropriate IEHP Team Members to develop the purpose, strategy, target audience, style, and length of the content. Write and subsequently edit IEHP social media, digital advertising, and email materials.
5. Triage all requests from Members, Providers, and General Community through the social media, digital advertising, and email channels to appropriate departments and ensure timely fulfillment of requests.
6. Develop survey and identify success metrics for the responsible programs to report out the program outcomes.
7. Work with the Communications Writers to get all materials translated by submitting the approved English content to the communications writer when the project is routed to the chiefs and communicating any changes to the English content.
8. Track and update all activities related to the IEHP social media, digital advertising, and email, marketing campaign. Work and communicate with other departments and external vendors to launch new campaigns and report on campaign results to management.
9. Research, recommend and implement industry best practices on the social media, digital advertising, and email.
10. Work with the Graphic Designers to develop new ad artwork and messaging strategy for social media, digital advertising, and email. Work with Web Developer to develop landing pages consistent with ad campaigns and messaging.
11. Manage day-to-day interactions and relationship with social media, digital advertising, email, and SEO vendors.
12. Track, update, and report IEHP’s social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn) through the social media dashboard platform. Also, responsible for collaborating with various departments to develop strategic messaging campaigns and to support the distribution and promotion of any podcast programs.
13. Manage social media promotion budget to optimize spend. Analyze results and edit future campaigns accordingly.
14. Work with Digital Production Specialist to keep YouTube channel current and relevant.
15. Plan/Execute/Analyze/Report out digital advertising campaigns.
16. Ensure IEHP material complies with the reading level required by the regulatory agencies. Run a health literacy assessment (HLA) on all member materials to obtain a 6th grade reading level and keep a record of the assessment. Update projects in the project management tool and ensure all timelines and deliverables are met.
17. Ensure all online IEHP member materials receive regulatory approval before production by working with Compliance.

Experience Qualifications

 

Three (3) years of experience in writing, formulating copy and editing in the following industries: health care, hospital, health plan, advertising, public relations, or other relevant industry. Three (3) years of experience in digital communications including web, social media, texting and/or emailing.

Preferred Experience

 

Experience with HTML coding a plus.

Education Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field from an accredited institution required.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, website content management, HTML, Good Ads and GA4.

Skills Requirement

 

PC proficient. Microsoft Office Suite, website content management, email platforms, and GA4. The Digital Communications Strategist will possess exceptional customer service skills and ability to analyze programs.

Abilities Requirement

 

The Digital Communications Strategist will possess the ability manage multiple projects, can triage projects, meet deadlines, and approach new opportunities with innovative ideas while maintaining IEHP standards of quality and brand voice. Will also have the ability to articulate and present ideas and concepts to groups of people and ability to work with different personalities effectively.

Working Conditions

 

Position is eligible for telecommuting/remote work location model upon completing the necessary steps and receiving HR approval. The incumbent approved to telecommute may periodically be required to report to IEHP’s main campus for mandatory in-person meetings or for other business needs determined by IEHP leadership.

A reasonable salary expectation is between $70,012.80 and $89,273.60, based upon experience and internal equity.
