Configuration Analyst I - Core Business Systems

Position Summary/Position

Under the direction of Core Business Systems Management, the Configuration Analyst I is responsible for managing system configurations within the Business System. The primary functions of this position require the ability to understand business and translate technical requirements from a variety of sources and configure them within the Business Systems. The Configuration Analyst I will develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of business and technical specification requirements. The Configuration Analyst I will perform system configuration, batch loading, report requirements development, and system process work ensuring the results of their work is accurate for data quality.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

1)Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the system features and capabilities in order to provide effective support to Users/Team
2)Acts as a subject matter expert for the business areas by helping to drive decisions related to system configuration and/or reporting.
3)Manage the completion and maintenance of moderate system configurations within the system including issue resolution
4)Apply LEAN/A3 thinking methodologies to process and workflow designs
5)Assist with the development of configuration standards and best practice guides for maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
6)Implement business requirements to configure moderate system changes and develop non-systematic workaround processes when necessary
7)Track incoming requests and issue resolution through productivity monitoring tools
8)Document and share results of their end to end testing processes.
9)Facilitate communication and formally report findings to various department heads and staff in a manner that is appropriate to the skill level and technical expertise of the audience.
10)Identify and communicate impact of system enhancements or configuration changes on integrated systems and processes
11)Process daily system configuration inventories and ensure compliance with established service level agreements and regulatory timelines
12)Develop and maintain business requirements for process change requests such as, missed and new requirements
13)Track and test new system functionality, enhancements, and bug fixes, including the execution of test plans
14)Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other departments.

Experience Qualifications

 

2 years of business systems configuration experience required and 5 years of Healthcare experience required.

Preferred Experience

Analytical experience preferred.

Education Qualifications

High school diploma or GED,

Preferred Education

Bachlors preferred.

Knowledge Requirement

• Knowledge of CMS, DHCS, DMHC, NCQA rules and regulations preferred
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
• Familiar with eligibility processing preferred
• Extensive knowledge of general managed care operations required, delegated plan model preferred
• SQL knowledge preferred

• Presentation and written communication skills required
• Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities required

Working Conditions

Required to make necessary adjustments to work shift ensure completion of projects and to meet deadlines, e.g., system releases, critical milestones.
 

 

Starting Salary: $49,192.00  - $62,004.00  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
