Position Summary/Position

 


This position exists to promote the coordination and alignment of priorities in the development of clinical systems for example, clinical registries, to ensure the platform(s) support the clinical workflows and programs that IEHP and its network provides Members of the Inland Empire community. This position serves as a liaison between business and clinically-minded departments and operations and information technology departments to ensure clinical systems strategy and development of care management software supports business and clinical needs. This role is also responsible for overseeing the network facing communications and training plan of identified clinical systems to ensure adequate technical assistance and support is available for the network.
 

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)


1. Serve as lead for the development and maintenance of clinical tools that are used to support clinical transformation initiatives.
2. Serve as a liaison between clinical transformation departments and IT and analytics departments
3. Partner with clinical and business subject matter experts to identify, define, and prioritize system enhancements that support or reinforce clinical workflows and program requirements.
4. Translate business requirements for technical audiences including Information Technology, Operations, and Health Care Informatics.
5. Gather and synthesize user feedback to drive system improvement.
6. Develop agendas and facilitate systems steering committee meetings with diverse high-level, multi-disciplinary attendees.
7. Oversee the network-facing systems communication and training plan.
8. Provide network-facing technical assistance via webinar, phone, e-mail, and in-person trainings.
9. Serve as the train-the-trainer for network facing systems and provide in-person trainings.

Experience Qualifications


Must have 3-5 years experience (equal weight clinical and technical): With integrated, whole-person models of care, With the safety net population, Developing business requirements for health information technology (HIT) systems, Designing workflows to support clinical outcomes within the HIT systems to support user experience, Beta testing HIT systems, Providing systems training and technical assistance to providers, clinicians, and multi-disciplinary care teams with varying levels of technical ability, Developing communications and training plans, Partnering with or working directly in a clinic or healthcare setting where services are provided, Using data to inform the provision of healthcare services and evaluate the impact of care (program evaluation), Data analytics for evaluating the health of a population and program evaluation design.

Education Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year institution required.

Preferred Education

 

Master's Degree preferred.

Knowledge Requirement


Preferred familiarity with the ACA section 2703 – the Health Homes Program, Principles of integrated, complex care management programs, Knowledge of relevant clinical principles including integrated care, complex care management, and measurement-based care, Population Health analytics and evaluation, Data analysis and modeling, Data management practices, Clinical systems including electronic health records, care management tools, and registries.

Starting Salary: $77,896.00  - $99,424.00  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
