Position Summary/Position

 

Under the direction of the Internal Controls Manager, the Internal Controls Auditor II is responsible for conducting internal audits and reporting results identifying risks, establishing proper controls, and assessing the control environment of significant business processes.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

 

1. Assist in performing financial and operational audits of key business processes and make recommendations for improvement.
2. Perform in-line audits of key business processes such as cash disbursements, purchasing, expense reimbursements and payroll.
3. Perform audits of company compliance with Board resolutions and approvals.
4. Perform auditing and monitoring of new and recently improved internal controls for adherence to recommendations.
5. Assist in creating internal audit reports on control weaknesses and audits performed as directed by Director and Executive team.
6. Identify areas of opportunity for control enhancements.
7. Promote teamwork and maintain effective working relationships with others throughout the organization.

Experience Qualifications

 

Four (4) years of experience in the area of internal controls assessment and auditing. Experience conducting both financial and operational audits. Experience applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices.

Education Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited institution required.

Preferred Education

Professional Certification

 

Pursuing CPA, CIA, CISA designations preferred.

Knowledge Requirement

 

Strong knowledge of and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Internal Audit Principles published by the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Skills Requirement

 

Strong analytical, auditing and problem-solving skills. Effective communicator and collaborator. Adept at working with various auditing processes. Proficient with MS Office applications.

Abilities Requirement

 

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Team Members across IEHP. Able to lead and execute all aspects of projects from inception to delivery.

Starting Salary: $66,040.00  - $84,219.20  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
