Position Summary/Position

 

Applying analytical techniques and processes, the Analyst III - IT Project Management will provide guidance to IT and Business Departments in corporate and project management tools for small to medium, or low complexity, projects. The Analyst III - IT Project Management is responsible for configuring the project management, corporate applications and document the process flows, test plans, project plans, user manuals, training procedures. The Analyst III - IT Project Management serves as a liaison between business and IT groups in implementing new processes. 

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

 

1. Work with business partners within one or more business organizations to align solutions with business needs
2. Support one or more low to moderately complex business processes, requiring design or integration of technical solutions that may cross multiple functions of the business.
3. Build liaison relationship with business and IT.
4. Conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements.
5. Conduct facilitated workshops for requirements analysis.
6. Create workflows and developing graphic representations of complex business processes.
7. Develop Business Requirements with project initiation document, what the needed achievements will be, and the quality measures.
8. Develop Functional requirements that describe what the system, process, or product/service must do to fulfill the business requirements.
9. Develop User (stakeholder) requirements as a part of the deliverables, the needs of the stakeholders will have to be correctly interpreted.
10. Develop Quality-of-service (non-functional) requirements that do not perform a specific function for the business requirement but are needed to support the functionality. 
11. Develop Performance Report to define the purpose of a report, its justification, attributes and columns, owners, and runtime parameters.
12. Develop Project RASI Matrix - a cross matrix for project stakeholders’ responsibility.
13. Provide support in creating reports, research, and documentation for the analysis of business satisfaction.
14. Investigate and state problems; escalate issues as appropriate.

Experience Qualifications

 

Six plus (6+) years of relevant technical or business work experience.

Education Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Healthcare, or related program from an accredited institution required.

Professional Certification

 

IIBA, CBAP Preferred.

Drivers License Required

Yes, must have a valid California Driver's License.

Knowledge Requirement

 

Knowledge of: 
- Understanding of SDLC and various methodologies
- Formal requirements gathering methodologies. 
- Project management principles and practices.
- Formal requirements gathering methodologies.

Skills Requirement

 

Requires technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft PC desktop applications including Excel, Word, MS Project, and Visio. Analytical and process skills.

A reasonable salary expectation is between $79,809.60  - $101,774.40, based upon experience and internal equity.
