Position Summary/Position


Under the direction of the Director of Community Health, the Analyst II will provide support in the review, assessment, and development of business processes for all Community Health department programming. The scope of this role will span across all of Community Health, including Independent Living and Diversity Services, Community Resource Centers, Health Navigators. This role is critical in providing analytical support to each functional area, including data analysis and reporting, contract management, budget oversight and the integration and development of LEAN methodology within the department. The Analyst II will directly support the Special Program Manager of Community Health in order to develop and refine program strategy, acting as a liaison between teams both internally and externally. The Analyst II will help develop cross-functional collaborations, engage with external partners, and develop new program enhancements and various special reports and projects as needed.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)


1. Support the director of Community Health and unit Managers in the development and implementation of Community Health initiatives.
2. Support program development for all of Community Health, including Independent Living & Diversity Services, Community Resource Centers, and Community Partnerships. 
3. Work with the management team to implement and monitor the improvement/LEAN activities.
4. Facilitate the development of Policies and Procedures (PnPs) including workflows for all units.
5. Assist department leadership with Community Health department-level initiatives such as budget planning, Database management, Contract Intake and Renewal, and KPI tracking and reporting.
6. Assist in the development of business processes, planning and implementation to support Community Health vision and mission.
7. Function as a liaison between the Community Health Department and other IEHP departments to collaborate and collect deliverables for IEHP meetings and workgroups.
8. Compile data and conduct analysis of current business process and functional requirements into a cohesive and understandable written form for use in management decision-making.
9. Facilitate the timely and appropriate preparation of Board write-ups to be presented at the IEHP Governing Board meetings.
10. Support the Community Health leadership with special company-wide projects and initiatives.
11. Collaborate with the IT department on the development of systems to support our business needs.
12. Ensure adherence to compliance with company policies, rules and regulations relating to safety/health, performance standards, operating procedures, processes, and training requirements.

Experience Qualifications


Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a health plan setting having a project management role and experience performing an analytic function and building reports.

Preferred Experience


Experience in the operational areas of and outreach and/or community programming a plus. Experience working with PowerBI, SQL Server, Microsoft Access, and SSRS a plus. Experience building dynamic dashboards for reporting purposes and working with relational databases preferred.

Education Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Policy, or related field from an accredited institution required.

Drivers License Required

Yes, must have a valid California Driver's License.

Knowledge Requirement


Thorough knowledge of Medi-Cal managed care. Must possess strong knowledge of project management and across-organization coordination. 

Skills Requirement


High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Excellent writing, interpersonal communication, project management and organizational skills required. Highly analytical and capable of translating analytical insights into action. Strong time management skills.

Abilities Requirement


Ability to work and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of organizations. Must have a high degree of patience and attention to detail. Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.

Starting Salary: $66,040.00  - $84,219.20
