Position Summary/Position

 

With strong project management and analytical expertise, IEHP’s Business Continuity Analyst will be responsible for supporting all Business Continuity and Emergency Management lifecycle tasks, projects and program requirements. This includes leading, partnering and participating in initiatives with various IEHP departments and external stakeholders.
This position will primarily be charged with managing IEHP’s mass notification system and BC risk management software to ensure continuous availability for emergency use. Accountability will include maintenance of all notification protocols and distribution of emergency alerts to IEHP leaders and Team Members for events that impact or may potentially impact the organization.  The Analyst will also be responsible for working with all BC plan owners to develop, refresh and test BC plans annually. During emergency/disaster-related incidents, the Analyst will support the development of IEHP’s Incident Action Plans and will provide updates to IEHP leadership through dashboard management and outlined reporting protocols.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

 

BC Systems Management


1. Responsible for all systems maintenance, modifications and customizations to ensure continuous availability for emergency use – this includes identifying and reporting needed changes to appropriate stakeholders, working with vendors and/or key IEHP leads to outline requirements/set expectations, develop and communicate plan/timeline, and implement/document changes.
2. Ensure BC program requirements are established, updated and routinely tested to capture opportunities and relevant augmentations to support the organization’s needs and ability to effectively respond – this includes reviewing/updating existing protocols, developing new procedures as needed, and partnering with key stakeholders to ensure all program requirements are tested and documented.


BC Plan Management & Testing


3. Responsible for developing, maintaining and communicating changes of annual project plans to IEHP leadership teams – this includes partnering with IEHP’s PMO to capture project milestones, implementing and monitoring plans for effectiveness, and updating leadership to ensure project/program success.
4. Lead BC plan development and maintenance by working with all IEHP plan owners – this includes working with designees to collect plan requirements, documenting in BC software application and conducting routine tests to capture/resolve opportunities to ensure user competence, program advancement and continuous availability.


Program Metrics and Reporting


5. Develop and maintain annual, monthly and quarterly BC program scorecards and reporting metrics – this includes working with IEHP leadership to identify organizational goals/program requirements, establishing mechanism to capture/monitor performance, and highlighting progress, trends and opportunities to strengthen BC program. 
6. Prepare annual readiness report using data from BC scorecard/metrics to outline organizational resilience – this includes ability to articulate program updates/status to IEHP leaders, external stakeholders and regulatory agencies as requested.


Incident Preparedness, Response and Management


7. Ensure IEHP compliance with all regulatory requirements/accreditation standards set by CMS, DHCS, DMHC, and any other local, state, or federal agencies – this includes partnering with internal stakeholders, develop/documenting protocols/policies to meet all requirements pre, during and post emergencies.
8. Support development of IEHP’s Incident Action Plans and provide updates to IEHP leadership through dashboard management and outlined reporting protocols – this includes working with IEHP’s incident response team, collecting/reporting updates to/from affected departments/functional leaders, and generating/managing dashboard updates and presenting to IEHP leadership

Experience Qualifications

 

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a business continuity/emergency management role.

Preferred Experience

 

Experience preferred with managing an organization’s mass notification system, supporting business continuity lifecycle, and background in incident command.

Education Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.

Preferred Education

 

Master’s degree from an accredited institution preferred

Professional Certification

 

Preferred: CBCP, MBCP, BCI, MBCI, PMP 

Professional Licenses

Drivers License Required

Yes, must have a valid California Driver's License.

Knowledge Requirement

 

Business continuity/risk management, project management, incident command system, incident action planning, hazard vulnerability assessment, mass notification system.

Skills Requirement

 

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and public speaking skills.

Working Conditions

 

The BC Analyst II will be required to travel to all IEHP locations as needed and if requested at community events.  The Analyst II is expected to respond to any emergency/disaster related incidents that occur outside of normal business hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.  The Analyst II will be required to IEHP’s mass notification and BC software systems during operational disruptions and as requested.

Starting Salary: $66,040.00  - $84,219.20  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
