Position Summary/Position


Under the direction of the Reconciliation and Reporting Supervisor, the Accounting Specialist II - Financial Compliance will support various processes of a broad and varied nature related to one or more of the following functional areas: administration, reconciliation, posting journal entries and research of unreconciled claim payments.

Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)


1. Assist with the reconciliation of large and complex refunds.
2. Apply large volume of refunds and retractions in the claims processing system.
3. Ensure journal entries are accurate when posting to the financial statement.
4. Update and report daily metrics for the MDI board.
5. Monitor and respond to all claim reconciliation inquiries.
6. Assist in implementation and maintenance of process improvement activities.
7. Act as a trusted resource for the organization and consistently demonstrate IEHP organizational values while building and maintaining strong internal relationships.
8. Demonstrate a commitment to incorporate LEAN principles into daily work.
9. Assists in regulatory, administrative, and annual CPA audits including developing appropriate work-papers.
10. Oversee and review data entry, analyze and audit for timeliness and accuracy.

Experience Qualifications


Three (3) years of experience in an office environment, consisting of accounts payable, cash application and/or general accounting duties.

High school diploma or GED required.

Professional Licenses

Drivers License Required

Yes, must have a valid California Driver's License.

Knowledge Requirement


Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable knowledge required, and Claims Processing knowledge preferred.

Skills Requirement


Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Starting Salary: $45,468.80  - $56,846.40  

Pay rate will commensurate with experience
